HOPE Scholarship
HOPE Scholarship is a merit-based award available to Georgia residents who have demonstrated academic achievement.
A Hope Scholarship recipient must graduate from high school with a minimum 3.0 grade point average and maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative postsecondary grade point average to remain eligible.
The scholarship provides tuition assistance to students pursuing an undergraduate degree at a HOPE Scholarship eligible college or university in Georgia.

The HOPE Scholarship covers 90% of a students tuition cost per full-time semester.
Zell Miller Scholarship
Zell Miller Scholarship is a merit-based award available to Georgia residents, similar to the HOPE Scholarship, but with more stringent academic requirements and a higher level of tuition assistance.
Eligible recipients must graduate from high school with a minimum 3.7 grade point average combined with:

minimum SAT score of 1,200 on the math and reading portions
OR
-
a minimum composite ACT score of 26 in single national test administration.
The Zell Miller Scholarship provides 100% tuition assistance per full-time semester.
HOPE Rigor Requirements
In order to qualify for the HOPE Scholarship, students must complete a minimum of 4 Rigor Courses prior to graduation.

The following courses offered at Pickens High School meet the rigor requirements. A student is required to have 4 or more of these course to be eligible for the HOPE or Zell Miller Scholarship.
